Romp Privacy Policy

Effective September 10, 2026

What this policy covers

This policy explains how Romp handles information in the Romp mobile app, website, and related support services. Romp is a shared-phone party game. You can play without creating an account or providing an email address.

Information Romp handles

Player setup information. Names and optional gender selections entered for a game are used on the device to personalize cards during that game. Romp does not send player names or gender selections to Romp servers, and they are not retained as a Romp account or profile.

Local app data. The app may store game content, content-release metadata, and temporary game state on the device so the app can work offline and load content more efficiently. This data stays on the device and can be removed by deleting the app or clearing the browser’s site data when using the web version.

Content service and app-use information. The app may contact Romp’s services to check for and download updated, immutable card content and, depending on the features in use, to send limited app-use information such as app and content versions, timestamps, session-level events, selected settings, content identifiers, and feature interactions. This information is used to operate, secure, troubleshoot, measure, and improve Romp. It does not include player names or optional gender selections.

Technical connection information. When the app downloads content or you visit Romp’s website, Romp and its infrastructure providers may process routine technical information needed to operate and secure the connection, such as device or browser type, app version, timestamps, request and response details, status, latency, and other service diagnostics. Romp does not use app-use or diagnostic information to identify, profile, or track individual users across apps or services. We do not use this information for advertising.

Support messages. If you email support@tryromp.com, Romp receives the information you choose to include, such as your email address, device details, app version, and description of the issue. We use it to respond to you and improve support.

Information Romp does not collect

Romp does not currently require account sign-in or use data for advertising or cross-app tracking. The app does not request access to location services, contacts, photos, camera, microphone, push notifications, or in-app social profiles. The game may suggest that players share personal information with one another, but Romp does not access or record that information.

How information is used and shared

Romp may use information to provide, operate, secure, troubleshoot, measure, personalize where applicable, and improve its services. We may share information with infrastructure, hosting, support, analytics, security, and other service providers that process it on Romp’s behalf, and when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights and safety, investigate misuse, or support a business transfer. Player names and optional gender selections entered during setup remain on the device and are not sent to Romp as part of the game’s normal operation. The website, content delivery service, app-use features, and support email rely on providers that may process information needed to operate those services.

Retention and deletion

Cached content and temporary game state may remain on your device until you clear it or delete the app. Romp and its service providers may retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including operating and improving services, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, backups, and legal obligations. Retention can vary by the type of information and how it is used. We may aggregate, de-identify, or delete information when appropriate. Where consent is required, you may withdraw it by using any available privacy choice or by contacting us. To request access to or deletion of personal information, withdraw consent, or ask a privacy question, email support@tryromp.com. We may retain information where permitted or required by law or where needed for security, fraud prevention, or legal claims.

Children

Romp is intended for adults and is not directed to children. Do not use Romp to submit personal information about a child. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us at support@tryromp.com.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when Romp’s data practices change. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
